If you're over 14 years of age and a resident or visitor to Kensington & Chelsea and find it difficult to get 'out & about' we can help.
Anyone in the borough with a mobility can become a member of the scheme. All new members will need to register and pay an annual registration fee of £12, then will be given full training on how to operate the scooters. This membership fee enables you to use all the Door-to-Door Services.
The scheme is mobile, operated from a truck that is parked in various locations across the borough. Three days a week the truck will be at Queen's Gate, off Kensington Gore, near the Albert Memorial in Kensington Gardens. On the other days we are currently based at Kensington Town Hall and Sutton Estate, Chelsea.
We have 11 scooters that can be booked in advance by members of the scheme. Simply call 020 8960 8774 any weekday between 1pm and 4pm. Outside these times you can leave a message on the answer phone and we will get back to you. You will need to become a member and be given training on how to use a scooter before you can make a booking.
Booking is necessary to make sure you have a scooter reserved for you. All our information can be provided in tape form. If you have any difficulties in filling in the registration form we can help.
